Psychic / Mediums? Do you believe?
Curious what others think? Any experiences?
My family and I were approached by a medium (friend of a friend situation) saying she spoke to my mother. She gave us a piece a paper with some words and phrases on it. Some of it made sense. Some didn't...It's wonderful and strange...was wondering if anyone had any experiences they'd be willing to share...

I believe in them to an extent..some i feel are fake though...
i went to a jeffery wands show last year and wow, crazy.
my mom has seen 2 of them and even if they were completely pulling her leg, it has given her tons of comfort since my sister passed a lil
ETA: if a medium approached you then they definitely felt something or another. and it usually means that your mom's spirit is strong and she really wanted to say something to do.

I definitely believe it is possible.
I also definitely believe some people are frauds.
And in all honesty if money isn't involved, i'd be more inclined to believe that the woman who approached you was more believable than someone who wants money money money and more money.
Some people def can posses a gift... other people are con artists.
Also, I've read a lot of James Van Praagh books... and he says that although some messages might not make sense at the time you receive them, they may come to you later on and you understand them... sometimes it just takes a lil while for you to figure it out. Sometimes people forget certain things in the moment and days, weeks, months or even years later they recall something they didn't think of before.

I do believe a little bit. I have had an experience with one specifically (fm for info), and the things he said were right on key. Some of it we didnt understand, but I think they say, it may at a later time.
I think its up to the person receiving the messages...whether you are open to it or not
One told me once, your dreams are messages too. Its the only time of day when you can let your conscience go. I found that interesting

Do I believe? I think "some" people have the knowledge, yes! Not most of them.
We do not talk to mediums in our family since the following story happened. A medium told my great grandmother she was going to lose a loved one in 3 days. My great grandmother thought it was going to be my great granfather who had been diagnosed with cancer the day before (no way the medium would have known). Exaxtly 3 days later one of her sons died in a shooting accident overseas.

I do. But, I also think there are a lot of crooks out there. I don't know how to find one that is "real".
What got me was those girls who were found at Gilgo. One of the families saw a psychic and she said that she was buried in a shallow grave, near water with a sign with a capital G!!!
That is too much for it just to be coincidence IMO.

No. From what I have seen they are so overly generic and their "information" is so cloudy it's all a guessing game.
If someone came to me and said "I see your grandmother and she says hello and she wishes she could sit and watch days of our lives with you, make lasagna with you, shop at Woolworth's and get club sandwiches afterwards with you, etc. etc." I would believe...
This whole "I'm seeing a brown-haired man and the letter S" business is way too shady for me. I'd like to think that if dead people were coming back to talk to us they'd be a little more specific.

Well, if it's a real medium, they are very specific, they don't say it's a brown haired man etc....I have never gone, but I know tons of people. My mom and my cousin have gone, and most of the info they got had to do with me, which was strange, esp in my cousin's case.

I believe... but I do think you have to be careful cause there are lots of fakes.
My mom just went "again" to jeffrey wands last week as her mom, "nanny" died in September. What he told her was pretty amazing, about my nanny, grandpa who passed 10 years ago, my parents, me, Dh, etc. I had been to him before, he is great.
he also told her i would be pregnant soon and have a little girl

I believe there are a lot of fakies out there, but I do believe there are people with psychic/medium abilities. I see a psychic (Patricia Bono) and she has been right on with everything she has told me. She knew about things I was feeling when I hadn't shared those feelings with a single soul, knew people in my life by name and knew about them, as well as predicted things that would happen with them, knew a name only my grandmother (who passed) and I call my sister, and she told me when I would get pregnant.

The medium I went to did not say anything to the effect of "I'm seeing a brown-haired man..." etc. etc. He said exacts and specifics.
There are some that are frauds-I'm very, very careful about who I go to. But there are absolutely some that do not do the whole "brown haired" scheme.

i have gone to them before just for fun but i don't really take what they say seriously 100%. although some have said things that were true which made it interesting. i would not spend like $500 on one though.

This woman approached us unsolicited...I would never pay for a medium because I really don't believe in it...My mother didn't either oddly enough

The one I went to was a complete sham!! It was a reading for 10 bucks, but then she made it like 50 and then she said, she wants 2 grand.. umm no! So, never since then!
