They do catch up with you eventually...happened to an old neighbor of mine. She was ignoring the notices for 40+ years. They showed up at her house one day with a warrant. She ended up having to serve while she was undergoing chemo for breast cancer. They obv had no sympathy at that point that she was ill. She doesn't throw them out anymore.

Just explain when you get into the court room in front of the judge and the attorneys. I got excused last year when I was 20 weeks preggo. They are pretty good like that. I was too nervous to say anything and then I started to not feel good then I got nervous when the trial would interfere with my 20week sono. When they let us on break I asked a court officer a question about how it worked and then I just lost it. I broke down in tears (damn hormones and I was overheating. They ran to the judge to get me excused. They were such sweet men.
