Puppy question(s)
Repost from pet board...please don't move.
We got a yorkie puppy yesterday. He's only 8 weeks and we're just realizing how clueless we are about puppies. We thought we were more prepared since both DH and I had yorkies growing up. Are there any good sites, or blogs that anyone would recommend?
Also, not sure if it's normal, but he does not bark...at all. He whimpers very softyly at night, but that's all. I know it's a wierd thing to be concerned about, but I grew up with a yorkie and it was the yappiest thing.
Also, can anyone recommend a good vet in the Huntington area?
Thanks

Re: Puppy question(s)
I've had a lot of dogs growing up and every time it's a puppy, it's as if we've never had one before. Anyway, if he's whimpering at night, have you tried the alarm clock in his bed trick to make it feel like he's with his mom? We would use a spray bottole or a jar of pennies when we'd say no. As for vets, we always used Dr. Fredericks in NPT but I can't remember what the name on the sign is. It's across the street from McDonalds on 25A. 631-261-0610 there is also:
