PVC all the way. lasts longer, sturdier, easier to clean, no maintenance.
ITA. I think it totally cleaned up the look of our property. Cost us a small fortune but a great investment IMO.

Re: PVC Vs. Wood Fence
I prefer the look of a wood fence, especially when they get weathered.

I also hate the look of plastic. However, its durable and no maintenance. I prefer wood but DH prefers PVC.

Re: PVC Vs. Wood Fence
How much does PVC run?
I need a new gate with a door. My current fence is wood and I really don't want to have to replace it right now.
But I definitely need a front gate with a door (about 7 feet) because right now there is nothing there and anybody can just easily walk to the back of my yard.
I would need about 7 feet of PVC which would include I guess would be a 3-4 foot door.
Anyone know how much a gate would cost in PVC? I don't neeed anything too expensive or high quality. Just something basic enough I suppose.
