I totally agree with you 100% ! I brought this same thing up last week. It's worse than it was 4 years ago. When you disagree you get called a bunch of hateful names, too. This board is not what it was.
Good thing we have free will and can stop coming here.

I find it interesting that people are posting about feeling persecuted for their beliefs on a public Internet forum, on threads where people are posting about feeling persecuted for their beliefs, and who they are as individuals, by random people in public, and the government....

I dont think the conversations on here between trump supporters and non trump supporters are very meaningful at all right now just a lot of back and forth. I hope it changes but i dont see how it can either.
IMO there way too many serious and dangerous issues related to Trumps win (just look at the threads alone on here) to expect a Trump supporter to comment on. What is the defense at this point?

Bump -- I'm ignoring the drama above, but curious how people (especially Trump supporters) feel about Jeff Sessions for attorney general. Again, I'm a Hillary supporter so I am coming at this from a different perspective, but I am also an attorney and he was denied a federal judgeship back in the 80s because of accusations of racism.
I didn't necessarily expect him to choose people I agreed with politically (in fact I figured he wouldn't) but I will say I am surprised to see him choosing people like Sessions, Bannon, etc because I thought a lot of the racist/sexist/xenophobic stuff was an act to get votes. It's very possible to like or choose a candidate without agreeing with all of their choices.
Trump supporters, if you care to share -- I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on Jeff Sessions as AG

I think it speaks volumes with the type of people Trump is appointing - Bannon, Sessions, Flynn, Pompeo. Just really think about it.
David Duke has expressed how overjoyed he is about all these appointments on twitter. He's a pig in $hit right now because Trump is basically putting the klan in the white house.

I agree. I guess I was half expecting him to reveal that he was actually more moderate (he was actually a lot more liberal before he ran for president so I thought some of it was just an act to get elected) but these picks are really surprising me, and they are very upsetting to me. And he also isn't "draining the swamp" either.

Yes I thought Trump was a lot more democratic and would turn around to be. I think he might of been if he was given the opportunity. But his fan base was not rooted in democrats and the people willing to support him are only the extreme, extreme people who are anti-anything but rich, white, white, intolerant men. I had more hopes for his presidency but this transition period is a bit scary.

I was devastated that Hillary didn't win but aside from her losing my concerns with Trump were about his rhetoric and demeanor -- I thought "draining the swamp" could be a plus and that if he really did intend to come up with fresh new non establishment people I was at least interested in seeing his choices. It looks like he is basically just rewarding anyone who supported him and filling his cabinet with horrifying people, far worse than I even imagined. And now I am reading he is considering Palin for a cabinet spot? It's insane and really upsetting to me.
