No, but I heard amazing things about the Flushing Meadows Park and it's supposedly very cheap, too!

There's also a pool club on Little Neck Parkway but I can't remember the name. Maybe you can google it.

I recently heard that this pool is awesome and FREE. Apparently a lot of people don't know about it. I got that info from a reliable source so I hope it's true! Chat Icon

Re: queens residents (bayside area)

I am in Forest Hills (not quite the Bayside area!), but my co-op has a pool that is open to the public. You just have a pay a fee for the day - I am not sure how much it is.

FM me if you want more info!

Re: queens residents (bayside area)

so I went to the fort totten pool today

it opens at 11am- I got there 10 minutes before- I was maybe 15 on the line (I have heard other city pools- like the Astoria pool- you need to get there at 9:30am - just to get in- also opens at 11am)

not high enough on the line to get a chair- but that was b/c people were holding a spot for their friends

I laid out on the grass - which was fine for what it was- a free day at the pool

people were saying this was the most crowded the pool was all summer

maybe 50-65 people

I had to leave after about 90 minutes- I drank all the water I had- and there wasn't anything to buy

next time I go- I would bring 2 bottles with me

I got great color

people were friendly - the staff was VERY strict on the rules- cell phone, food, no running etc

it was fine for what it was- but I would still rather join a pool club to get a chair

but I normally go to my Aunt and Uncle Pool Club as their guest- at least every other weekend- so this is fine if I am not going there

My SIL swears by the pool at Fort Totten. It's free and really, really clean and nice, they have a kiddie pool also.

Re: queens residents (bayside area)

Can you bring chairs with you? We have public pools here in Levittown that are free (well my taxes pay but Chat Icon ) and we can bring chairs.
