ques re :first few days home...
So I just gave birth late Sunday night and have been home since Tuesday afternoon (birth story etc...to come later) and about 2 -3 times a day I get the chills and kinda just start crying (lasts maybe 15 minutes)...I seem to feel better after drinking something like powerade but that could be random...I am assuming this is all just crazy hormone stuff and nothing to worry about?
My feet are swollen for the past two days which if they are still that way tomorrow I do plan on calling my doctor about I am just unsure what is "normal" now and what is not...
TIA.

HORMONES ARE CRAZY! They do crazy things to us woman! It takes time for your body to get back to normal after what it just went through!
It happens to us all!

Re: ques re :first few days home...
Ive been home from the hospital for about a week and a half now - the first 3-4 days I would just start crying and I was unsure of the reasons - it is definitely hormone related. My ankles finally went down about 2-3 days ago - so expect them to stay swollen for about a week. I still get weepy sometimes too - I think it is partly because I feel so isolated from the world - I cant take DD anywhere yet (as per dr.) and people havent been calling or visiting because they dont want to bother us. I know once I get back to work and can start to take her out with me to stores and restaurants I will feel more like "myself". It is all normal - dont worry!

Same thing happened to me. It's totally normal thanks to all the hormones. It only lasted a few days for me. I want to say by day 5 it was significantly better.
