Question about 7 month old sleep-Early bedtime??
I don't know if every child is just different, but my DS bedtime has moved earlier and earlier, and many nights he is exhausted by 6PM and is asleep at 6:30PM. This is typically on days where he wakes from a nap by 3 or 3:30. It's very rare that he will sleep soundly through the night after he is asleep at 6:30PM, and will wake at about 2 or 3 AM and sometimes be restless until he is up like clockwork at 6AM.
I know people say the earlier the bedtime, the later they sleep, but it seems like he's going to bed too early.
He takes a solid 1.5-2HR nap every AM around 8/8:30 when he wakes at 6AM. Then the rest of the day is inconsistent but he typically sleeps a total of 3.5 hours in naps for the day.
Anyone experience this?
Thanks!

Re: Question about 7 month old sleep-Early bedtime??
Babies go through phases. Just when you think you have it down they change it up. DS (7 months) goes down for the night at 7PM like his older brother. He was getting up around 3:30AM for 1 feeding then back to sleep. About a week ago he started STTN till 6AM and then back to sleep. He was also getting up around the time he was cutting a tooth. Then when that came through he got a growth spurt. Their little bodies are working in overtime... growing up, getting teeth, eating more, starting solids, etc. Even my toddler changes it up on me once in a while. Sounds like a growth spurt and check his gums. He could be cutting a tooth.

My DD will be 7 months next week and her bedtime has been between 5pm-6pm every night. She is just exhausted by then and she pretty much set her bedtime. Granted, she really doesn't nap throughout the day. Maybe a total of 2 hours at most. She wakes up for the day between 6-7:15am.
