Question about C section recovery?

I had a c section last Monday-I was bleeding at first in the hospital for my stay there, and when I went home it kind of tapered off--but tonight I seem to be bleeding more--I was on my feet a lot more today--just wondering how long did u bleed after ur C ?? I hope I am ok :)

I bled for about a month and it would vary in flow - I'm sure you are fine, and everyone heals differently!

I bled for 6 weeks..towards the end it was very light, but still there. I also did notice if I did more, I bled more, especially in the beginning.

My OB said if I saw clots to call her..so you should be okay.

For me it was 3 weeks. Try to relax take it easy.

The rule for me was always the more you do the more you bleed. If you are having bright red gushes then really try to take it easy. I had this with my second and had to try to sit as much as possible then.

I also bled for almost 6 weeks after my c-section (I remembered it tapered off right before my 6 week PP visit)...sometimes it would be heavy...sometimes light.

I bled for 8 weeks after my C-section.

I bled for like 3 weeks after my C, and I had a lot of clots!! My Dr told me they are normal, but to call him when if they got very big! You should stay off your feet more, once I started to do less, the blood didn't come out as much!

about 6 weeks. By my 6 wk pp check up it had tapered off to just about nothing.

I bled for 3-4 weeks. It was really heavy in the beginning. i did notice that when I started to be more active, I bled a little more. Make sure you listen to your body and take it easy.

you probably just did too much!! i bled for like 3 or 4 weeks after! take it easy hon!!

I am 3 1/2 weeks PP after c-section and had on and off bleeding since delivery. I am still spotting a bit.

bled for about 2 and 1/2 weeks , would decrease and come back stronger, sounds normal.

I'm 3 weeks post-c and I'm still bleeding a little. As with the other posters, I noticed I bleed more when I did more, so try and take it easy and rest more.
