Question about cold cuts
Is it just the meats we cant eat or is it the cheeses as well? I have been eating muenster and american cheese from the deli counters and it just hit me that this is probably considered a old cut as well.

Re: Question about cold cuts
As far as I know it's just the meats. And I've been told that if the meat is heated properly all the way through it's safer to eat.
The only thing you have to watch with cheese is pasteurized vs. unpasteurized. Just make sure you steer clear of unpasteurized cheeses, which should be easy to do in the States because I think everything has to be pasteurized.

It is actually only the "processed" meats...bologna, olive loaf, etc....
turkey breast os fine, and so are the cheeses that aren't blended to make something else..... unless they are hot, then you can have it all!
