Question about false positives due to trigger shot (*added pic of test)
So I'm 12dpo/retrieval, 7dp5dt My HCG trigger shot was 10:30pm on Sat 1/28, which is 14 days ago.
I thought I had read that the trigger shot stays in your system about 10 days, but I just read that my dose (10,000 iu) can stay in system for 14 days! UGH!
Why am I worried about this now? Because I held my urine for 5 hours, got the FRER, tested at about 3pm and it was a BFP!
But now it seems that it could still be the trigger, so DH doesn't want to get our hopes up until we get the results of the second beta.
**QUESTION: Does anyone know - if it IS a false positive, would it be kind of weak by now? Like would it have showed up more slowly or lighter or anything like that? Because when I took the test, it came up positive almost IMMEDIATELY. There was no need to even wait the two minutes. Does that mean anything?
But I don't want false hope. And I'll test again either tomorrow or Monday...but what do you think??
AAAARRRGGH!

Re: Question about false positives due to trigger shot
That sounds like a real BFP to me! When I triggered with 10,000iu it was always out of my system in about 10 days....
Congratulations!!!!

Re: Question about false positives due to trigger shot
My trigger was always out of my system by 7DPO. I always test around that time to make sure I get negatives so that when I test for real I can't mistake a BFP for the hcG shot. If it's been 14 days I highly doubt it's the trigger shot, sounds like a BFP to me!!! Congrats!!!!

Re: Question about false positives due to trigger shot (*added pic of test)
Just so you know, if you want the beta number, they will tell you. I asked and they gave me the number. I'm wayyyyy to anxious of a person to not know the number.
