Question about grand jury and summons...
I just got one in the mail. I served jury duty in 2004 so I don't know why I am being called again but maybe it's different because it's grand jury. My problem is that is states to be prepared to serve for at least 4 weeks. I have an infant daughter and NO family that can watch her during that time period. Do I bring her with me or will I be able to be excused?

I think you call and then you mail them a copy of DD's birth certificate.

Yes, DW got grand jury summons last year. Birth certificates and a short letter explaining that you are the only caregiver gets you out for a while.
Grand Jury is different than regular jury duty. They are on different cycles, so you can get called sooner for GJD after JD than another JD.
With GJD, you don't decide innocence/guilt. You just hear info on dozens of cases, and determine if there is enough of a case to go to trial.
