Re: Question about hospitals

Remember, most first babies don't come that quickly!
And some arrive in 4 hours, 1 week early! So for everyone, don't assume you have "plenty" of time, leave as soon as you feel ready!

Re: Question about hospitals
Depends upon traffic. Can be 35 minutes or well over an hour.
I live in Western Suffolk but will be delivering at NSUH Manhasset because of their NICU and my multiples doctor has priviledges with them.
NSUH Center for Human Reproduction also got me pg.

25-30 minutes away.
same here oyster bay to mineola (winthrop)
About the same. I delivered both mine at Winthrop and had great experiences. Even the second time when I was in labor at 3 a.m., the ride there wasn't all that long!

Re: Question about hospitals
Twenty minutes on the highway from where I live, 40 minutes from work (though I pray that I don't have to go there from work! )

Re: Question about hospitals
Mine is literally down the block but my SIL hospital is 40 minutes without traffic which never happens in LA. I think she is crazy

Thanks everyone. I am going to discuss this with DH and then make a decision. Dr. Hanauer has gotten such good reviews and I think I really want to go see her. I never realized I would stress this much before getting pg!
She is my Dr & the reason why my hospital is so far from where I live.
Same for me. Winthrop is about 20 mins from my house.
