Question about Motrin
DD has been screaming her head off and refusing solids. She was a little cranky today, but this evening she's all out of sorts. She was up whining alot last night too.
I'm THINKING it's teething (don't we blame everything on that ) because her gums are really swollen, her behavior is different and she doesn't have a cold or fever.
ANyway - is Motrin better than Tylenol?? How often can I use it?
DD is 6+ months, 18 lbs.
TIA

Re: Question about Motrin
motrin is better for teething because it's ibeprofen (sp?) and therefore is an anti-inflammatory (anti-swelling). It will help with the swelling and pain.
As for dosage...I'd ask your dr. but I think at that age and weight, my DD was on 1/2 tsp

Re: Question about Motrin
If I am not mistaken Motrin is given every 6 hours and Tylenol is given every 4 hours. I give Tylenol for fever and Motrin for teething pain at nite....
