Question about my neighbors fence falling down in the storm.
The fence between my neighbors (back neighbor) and mine is damaged. Not laying down.. but, really bent. It is really far from their back door..huge yard. I just KNOW that they won't fix it. It is their fence. Not mine. They are soo silly about this stuff. They pile big scrap wood piles by that fence.. it's far from their house and they don't care. Animals live in them and the DOH has tried to get them to get rid of it but, they pretend to not speak english (I say prentend because they owned a Chinese food place and they talk to me just fine) and the DOH didn't push the issue....
So, I digress, What can I do here? I mean.. it looks awful. We were planning on butting a wood fence up to theirs so that I don't have to look into their yard this summer.. But, I won't be able to because the metal bar on the chanlink fence is bent, into my yard really bad. I won't be able to put up the fence in a straight line. Do they HAVE to fix this?
DH wants to throw the tree limb that is leaning on the fence.. it's theirs.. back into their yard... but, I won't let him because then I don't think they will see the fence since it is so far away from their house and they rarely come to the back of the back of their yard. SOO at least the huge limb will alert them that something is wrong.

my parents have the same issues - anytime something from their yard falls into my parents they throw it back onto their wood pile (basically rotted wood) as far as a fence you can tell them your putting a fence up and removing theirs (put nice face facing them) and that should be fine.
