Question about researching Pediatricians.
Do you interview them all or just go by recommendations? Do all Peds have time to interview? Not sure how that works? I narrowed it down to a few Docs from people that recommended them, but don't know the next step.
Thanks!

Thanks! I went to my United Health care and they are with them so it's all about narrowing it down and how to do that.

Re: Question about researching Pediatricians.
When we were looking we got few names from the ob/gyn and friends. I did research on all of them. Looked them up. Called the office. Asked about insurance and so on. Finally we picked 3 and decided to interview all 3. But the first one we interviewed we loved him(on top of his credentials ),we liked the location, the hours and the fact that he is open on Sundays.Oh and the hospital affiliation(one of the hospitals was the one where DD was born and he saw her the day she was born) so decided to go with him. Been with him ever since and DD is 18 mo.

I have friends to asked 50,000 questions before picking someone, and friends who just made an appt. when the baby was born and called it a day -
There is no rule that says your HAVE to keep your ped once you choose him - most people advised me to check their hours, how many Dr(s) are in the practice, what does the office look like - and someone told me this weekend, which I would have NEVER thought of, that their Ped's office has separate sick and well waiting rooms AND entrances -
So if you're bringing your child for a well visit, you don't have to expose them to the sick, snotting, germy kids -
