Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
I read that you make an appt for your monitoring and that their hours start at 8:30. That's way too late for me. Can you do monitoring in the afternoon? How would that even work? Also, are they fat-friendly? I'd hate to not be able to go there because of their monitoring hours.

Re: Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
I think you can go to a local lab for your bloodwork in the am and then go for the sono with Dr. Braverman in the pm. I was there at 4:30 on Friday and there were a bunch of women there for their monitoring sonos.
He never once said anything about my weight.

Re: Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
You should call and speak to them.. Go for a consult tell Dr B all of your issues and concerns and see how you feel.. If its not for you then move on.. Good luck.. As I have posted on your other threads I am over weight as well he has never used this as an excuse of my infertility.. Good luck..

Re: Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
He's never said a word about my weight. BUT one thing...If you are going for monitoring you can go in the afternoon (they will call you at like 7:30pm with new instructions if necessary). I was used to LI IVF factory mornings, too...they don't do it that way there. He does all your sonos personally, which is good and bad. You get to see him, ask questions, feel comfortable, but it can take some time. I've been there for an hour just for monitoring...not that that hasn't happened at LI IVF before, but its not nearly as quick. Just prepare yourself.

Re: Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
That's what I loved about LIIVF. I would be guaranteed to be out of there by 7:15-7:30 if I was there by 6:45. But I can wait in the afternoon if necessary. I like being able to see a doc. What about weekend monitoring?

Saturdays he's open, Sundays its Manhattan...but he'll try to avoid that for you if possible. He did it for me.

Re: Question about SIRM's monitoring hours.
I went to a lab in the morning and then to him in the afternoon. It was great to see a dr do the sonos. It made me feel better than the NP's doing them. He is very diligent while doing them and explained everything. Weight was never brought up and I am not skinny!!!
Good Luck! feel free to ask any questions about them!
