Question about sleeping through the night and EBF
Aidan is starting to sleep through the night (anywhere from 5-8 hours). I am still EBF and pumping while at work. What do I do about the engorgement? Should I just ride it out and let my body adjust (I think it will?) or should I be pumping at night?

Thanks. My boobs hurt like crazy when I wake up. I guess my body will regulate itself.

I never pumped at night, I would just let it go and then Thank God when DD woke up to eat in the AM  It eventually evens out. Enjoy the rest!
ITA, don't worry your boobs will get adjusted--lol

I remember it took some time. I always wore breast pads til I regulated.
Glad he is giving you sleep!

At first I pumped......but more because after like 5 hours I thought I would die!
He started giving me a 5 hour stretch from like 9-2......after that it was every 2-3 hours. SO that I just rode out & adjusted eventually.
The when he TRULY started to sleep through the night he basically went to 10 hours, so I HAD to pump some.
Eventually I stopped and even out. I would pump before bed around 10ish (more to get the extra BM for bottles), then not nurse him till about 7.
Enjoy!!! You boobs will figure it out!
