DH wanted to do it himself, but we ended up w/a landscaper. He loves working outside but he knew that he'd be too exhausted to do other stuff around the house if he had to spend the weekend cutting & trimming the outside. Its a lot of work, especially in the fall!

we have a landscaper, he comes 1x a week and cuts the lawn and weedwhacks. He is $20 a week and well worth it, takes a lot of stress of of me yelling dh to cut the lawn!

We do it ourselves.
DH does the mowing, weed whacking, edging.
I plant and maintain the veggie and flower gardens.
We help each other do the trimming of bushes, etc.

We have the same situation. DH likes to do so many things around the house. He would want to do the landscaping but he is so busy. He tackles a lot of other jobs around the house that would cost more than landscaping, so it is fairly easy for us to justify the expense of landscaping.

We mow the lawn plant the flowers and rake the leafs.
only thing we hire out is closing the sprinkler system. You need a preasure hose to blow it out.

We use a landscaper..........at $25/week it is worth it to have our lawn always looking perfect....

DH does all our landscaping and we get so many compliments from our neighbors. He has years of experience in commercial landscaping and he loves working outside.
