Question about your pre natal vitamin

Are they FDA approved?

I just bought the vitamin world brand of pret natal vitamins (thats all they had there) It says on the back "statements in this bottle have not been reviewed by the fda"

I dont know if I should take them

I looked mine up on the net since I can't see the info on the bottle b/c it is covered by the Rx label. It says the same thing as yours. I venture to say that nutritional supplements are not held to the same standards as drugs would be according to the FDA. They probably have to list possible side effects.

vitamins don't have to be FDA approved, since they are not precription drugs, but that don't mean anything is wrong with them.
