I was induced with cervadil. after a few (painful hours b/c it caused crazy contractions) and only being less than 4cm dilated, they removed it b/c it has causing heart beat issues with me and my son. I was with an oxygen mask until I started pushing after that.
about 8 hours after they removed it, I reached 10 cm (17 hours from the time it started). pushed him out in 23 minutes. I just wanted to get it over with 
so, my experience with it was that it didn't do much to open my cervix, but from about an hour after insertion my contractions were strong steady and painful (and they wouldn't give me the epi b/c I wasn't dilated...I had to wait almost 12 hours for the thing!) and I reacted to it.
I hated being induced. I hope it goes much better for you.

Me too! I'm almost hoping for a second induction with this one!!
I had zero dilation or effacement, but had DD vaginally exactly 12 hours later the induction started. Like other posters said, thanks to the epi I slept through most of labor and was woken up when I reached 10cm.

i was induced with cervadil overnight and then started on pitocin in the AM. was able to have a happy healthy  epidural free by 3pm  wish you all the best!!

I was induced. THey started me with Cervadil and then my water broke on its own and I also started contracting on my own. I only needed a little Pitocin at the end of my labor to dilate the last few centimeters. I had a vaginal delivery! Good luck!

I had a great induction for #2. Got cervadil at night, slept and did wake up at one point with contractions so they gave me Staidol to take the edge off. In the morning they took out the cervadil, let me shower and eat breakfast. At 11am got the pitocin. Got my epi around 1pm. Had the urge to push around 4:30pm. My doc was in her office across the street so I had to wait for her. She got there at 5pm. Three pushes later, DS was born at 5:20pm.

I was induced 8 days late but just with Pitocin. I was 3cm dilated and 90% effaced. Dr broke my water and it hurt less than an internal. I loved being induced.
I labored for 4.5 hours. I asked for the epi after 2 hours of contractions. I pushed for 1.5 hours and then DS was born.

Mine was great -- no cervadil, just Pitocin at like 1:30 pm, fully dilated by 5, pushed for 30 minutes, and out came DD!

That shiiiiit hurt being put in and being taken out. But while it was in I didn't feel a thing. It was fabulous. lol
Once it was removed pitocin was started. I then had dd about 7 hours later. I took foreverrrrrrrr to progress lol

good luck i was induced.
the cervadil- i wont lie- hurt when they were putting it in. it was night time and if it didnt work in a certain # of hours their was the option to repeat it. luckily i increased cm's that i was able to get pictocin which made things better. they also broke my water, which wasnt a big deal earlier on was trickles, then at times i had gushes.

me too.
Everything was great. I had to end up getting a c/s because i never dialated, ds was getting stressed and was moving backwards. I did get the epidural a lot sooner then initially planned but that was because DS was getting stressed, I was having incredably insane contractions (every 2 - 3 minutes and lasting 1 minute) and the doctor and midwife said I needed the epidural. I also had to have an oxygen mask but not very long. The person that gave me the epi very quickly became my best friend. Once baby and I were at ease and the epi kicked in I pretty much just relaxed and napped.
Even getting a c/s was not bad. I went in at 9:30, ds was born at 9:39. I was in recovery at 10:15. Even healing wasn't bad. I was sore for a few days but overall labor and delivery was great.

i was induced with DS but with pitocin
Started around 1pm at 4cm and DS was born at 910pm
I had a great deliver; no complaints about anything
good luck!!!!
