Question for BTDT Moms regarding birthday party favors and school friends...
Hi gals,
DS (almost three) is not school-aged per se, but in nursery school, so I figured it was ok to post here ;)
We're having his birthday party at a park in Jan. He's in nursery for the first time so planning on inviting his whole class (8 other students) in addition to outside of school friends. As I don't really know the families of his school friends and who may or may not show up to the party, how do you account for favors? Do you JUST make for the invited child? Do you make extra for siblings although not technically invited? I don't mind extra people showing up since it's at a park and we're not paying per head at a play place. I pretty much expect the whole family to show up but again, just not sure what to do about favors.
Don't really want (nor can I afford) to have 10+ extra favors depending on who may show up!

I purchase favors after I have a general head count of who can attend. I get goodie bags for the invited children, but if you are opening up the invite to the entire family I would give the other children goodie bags too.

I'm not technically inviting the entire family, the child's name is going to be on the invite, but they are all 2 years old or so, so it's not like they are going to come alone, kwim?

No one has ever really expected extras but I really made a sibling's day when I had an extra for her this year. I would have a few extra and I don't do favors with kids names on them.

If I know the children have siblings, I usually make a few extra with no names on them.
