Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I am 13 or so lbs less than I was before I got pg. My stomach is actually more flat and toned than beforehand, but that is b/c I have been doing 10-15 minute ab videos, 3X/week..I've never given my abs that much attention before!

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
hmmm, I weigh exactlly the same, but my belly is not totally flat. To tell you the truth I know a lot of girls who have had babies in the past few years and their bodies are just not the same (some of them think they are back to normal) seems to me that many women lose that small waist line after baby
oh and my hip is def. wider which is nice bc I always had narrow hips, and no stretch marks

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I think I weigh about the same. At my six week appt I was within 5 lbs. I don't own a scale so I have no idea what my actual weight is. My belly is the only thing not the same. It's flabby.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
At two weeks pp I was 3 lbs less than before I got pregnant...I felt good but flabby. Things were okay for a while and then when DD started solids, I gained weight
Now she is two years old and I am thinking about a sibling but I realize I need to lose more weight before getting pg again
As far as the body going back to normal, I felt like my torso felt LONGER. Even though my regular jeans fit me one week pp, my tops all felt too short.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I lost the baby weight and 10 lbs additionally (thank god for BFing) BUT my body will never be the same. I still have not-so-faint stretch marks, my hips seem wider than ever and my tummy and boobs are just not perky to say the least.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I lost all of the baby weight a long time ago (DS is 20 months). My body does not look the same. My pre-preg clothes fit but, not the same. Mostly, my hips and butt widened, my belly is not flat or toned and I have cellulite now on my inner thighs To be honest though, I do not exercise anywhere NEAR what I did before. I DO exercise but it is not consistent - I will walk/jog with DS when I can and do pilates exercises when I can around him playing. Once in a while I will do a video while he naps. So, it might be b/c I don't exercise as much as I should - maybe if I did I would look different. But, I just don't have the time as a SAHM - away from DS and, I'm just not comfortable leaving him in a gym daycare. I figure after I am done having babies I will go crazy with exercise and all will be good - so i hope.

I weigh the same I did before I got pregnant...yet my belly is bigger. Not sure what happened.
Same, I must have lost weight from other areas because I still have a belly yet I weigh the same as I did before when I had no belly!
Go figure!
Oh yea, I have done NOTHING in an attempt to lose weight or tone my body (well unless you count hte like 6 exercise classes I went to in November!)

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I got back to my PP weight after I had DD & I most definately did not look the same.
I'm 5 pounds from my PP weight this time & I am almost back to looking like I did after I had DD, but before DS.

After I lost all the weight, and then some, my body still was a little different - more curvy.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I lost all of the weight, and my body is pretty much the exact same. I was curvy before..I had hips without question. My stomach was very flat before the baby, and now it is very flat again. It actually went down very quickly and though it took about 4 months to lose the weight, my stomach went down almost completely within 1-2 weeks, and completely within a month. It isn't as tight/muscular as it was before, but I also haven't done a sit-up/crunch in over a year now. If I did, I think my stomach would be the exact same as it was.
The only part that's different is my boobs. I had really big boobs before, and they are still really big. But I'm still breast feeding, and after I feed DD or pump, the skin is kind of saggy.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
Lost all the baby weight and then some but in no way does my body look even close to the same. Its what I refer to the melted candle syndrome.....same amount of wax, different shape.
And dont even get me started on the state of my boobs.
ETA: DS is 20 months old now

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
No, my body doesn't look the same. My stomach is a lot more jiggly and I have a flap over the c-section scar. I also still have a "bump" which I am pretty sure is my abdominal muscles that got stretched out and separated while I was pregnant. Not sure how to get that back to normal - if doing crunches will help or its something that just has to happen on its own. Or might never happen. My legs are thinner than they were before I was pregnant.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I lost all of the weight within 8 weeks (all 40+ pounds), but it took awhile for my body to settle back. I have been working out diligently for awhile and my body is pretty close to what it was. My boobs were not the same for awhile, but I wear a bra 24/7 (except in the shower obviously) and do a lot of chest presses, and even my DH thinks they look pretty close to what they were. I am naturally thin, so this may have a lot to do with it, but I was lucky that I am almost back to pre-preg body.

I am thinner now than I have been in YEARS. At 14 weeks PP I am happy with how I look. My stomach has stretch marks, but they dont bother me too much.
Same here. Pregnancy was the best diet ever! I have always been chubby, so the tummy is there, but I'm just happier to be thinner! I think the GD diet contributed a lot to my PP weight.

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
I am no where near my prepregnancy weight and doubt that I ever will be again. However, I am the same weight now as I was when I got married, and I do not look anywhere near the same My belly is a disgusting mush, my hips have gotten bigger (I really do not mind that) and I somehow now have a double chin that I cannot shake. Not to mention that my boobs stayed big

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
Lost all the weight plus about 4 pounds, but my stomach is flabby. I exercised throughout my pregnancy (and before and after), but my stomach has stretch marks and is mushy! Rest of my body is the same (boobs a little smaller).

Re: Question for mommies that lost all of the baby weight
After #1, it took a little while longer to lose the weight but I looked BETTER than I did before pregnancy.
After #2, I lost MORE weight, but still have a small pouch in my belly (even more noticeable since I'm SO skinny) and my boobs will never be the same
