Re: Question for mommies who had larger babies...

my DD was 9 lbs 3.7 ozs at birth. She went straight to size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes. By 2 months old she was in 3-6 month clothes.

skip over newborn and go straight to 0-3... same with diapers, skip newborn and go straight so size 1....

ITA.

DD was 9lbs 5 oz. she wore a NB outfit home (that we got as a gift- i didnt buy any NB stuff) and that was the last time anything NB ever fit her. Even that day, the pants were like highwaters on her Chat Icon I'd skip NB altogether. Even if the sono is off, i still think you'll be perfectly fine w/ 0-3.

Re: Question for mommies who had larger babies...

My DS #1 was 9lbs, 3 oz. and he was swimming in a 0-3 coming home outfit. But he had very few 0-3 clothes, just a few pjs and literally 1 or 2 pants and shirts. He had many months in 3-6 clothes and I rolled them up if need be. But I don't think newborn clothes are worth it, I never bought them, even for my DD who was 7 1/2 lbs. For a preemie or tiny baby, I could see it in the very beginning but I wouldn't load up on newborn or 0-3.

DS was 9-12
DD was 9-13

0-3 fit them both much better than NB would have (if at all) and 3-6 would have been too big Chat Icon

My first was 9 7 and my second was 9 1. With my first I had all these newborn clothes all washed and ready to go. Well that was a waste!! I say go with 0-3 at first...

They estimated Landon at 7 lbs 9 oz... he was born 9 lbs 0 oz. He wore 0-3 months right from the start, besides his coming home outfit which was newborn. He was long too though (22 inches).

I was told at my 38 wk sono that my DS was close to 9lbs. I delivered him via c-section a week later and he was 9lbs 3oz. He never wore any newborn clothes, only 0-3 months and size 1 diapers. I had to return newborn stuff!

I was told at more than 1 sonogram that DD would be over 10 lbs. She was actually 8lbs 13oz.

We didn't use any NB sized clothes or diapers. We went right to size 1 diapers and right into 0-3 month clothes.
