Re: Question for moms with infants...
We use both. I have the papasan swing and it is a necessity for me. My DS lived in this swing until he out grew it and my DD who now uses it, is in it all the time. We use the bouncy alot too. If I am going into the kitchen to do dishes, etc, I put her in it and bring her with me.

WE had both. My DD is 8 months now and we don't use the bouncer, but did for a long time. We still use the swing when she is too tired to fall asleep herself so we put her in the swing for her nap. I LOVE THIS ONE!!!
Good Luck!! There is a lot to choose from!!
I just got this one, ocean wonders, its only available online.. My sis knows people who had it and recommended it.. Its soo cute. My baby isnt born yet so i cant say anything but its cute.

Re: Question for moms with infants...
Both my kids love/d both. They have different purposes sometimes. The bouncy with the lights is great when he is alert and the vibration is good for soothing. The swing offers a different soothing and the mobile gives him something to look at and talk to, but they are not as fun as the lights that jump all over the place!
I think no matter how much or little room you have, it gets taken over by kids stuff eventually.

Re: Question for moms with infants...
We didn't have a bouncy at my house, but had one at my moms. Good thing because he hated it. We did have a swing, but he didn't really care for that either.
He loved his FP infant toddler rocker.
If you can borrow a swing, or maybe just get the travel swing, I would suggest doing that.

My kids were more "bouncy seat kids". My BF swears kids tend to be either swing kids or bouncy seat kids.
ITA! My dd was a bouncy seat kid, my ds was all about the swing. They both liked the exersaucer, we never had a jumparoo.
And I agree with Theresa about the infant to toddler rocker. My 2.5 year old still sits in hers every day.
Definately agree about the infant/toddler rocker. I still use it even though DD is 22 pds and 32 inches tall. It keeps her in one place while I shower.

we have both and use both... bouncer is good because you can use it anywhere, I often put it in the bathroom while I take a shower so I can keep an eye on ds... we have 1 bedroom apartment but we found space for everything lol

Re: Question for moms with infants...
I have a swing, a travel size one, but we never used it more than a handful of times. We did use the bouncy seat though.

Nothing can be smaller than my place. We have no walking room, but we needed the bouncy and the swing.
Now, I am done with the swing, but we have a bouncy, pack n play, exersaucer, AND jumperoo...
I cant walk anywhere without stubbing a toe!!!
Yep. Same here.
Needed both, didn't have room for either.
Now I have no living room, just a large baby playplace.
