Question for those who already have kids

How many diapers (on average) does a newborn go through per day?

Re: Question for those who already have kids

I would say 10-15 per day for the first few weeks, I think a lot of that is more the parent changing them with every little drop (I know thats what I did)
Now DS is 14 weeks unless he poops, he gets changed with every bottle so its about 5-8 per day.

I think that is wayy much, but I guess I am the minority anyway

This is what I'm thinking. We changed her about 10 times in a 24 hour period. in the beginning.

Now, at 7 months, about 8 times.

Re: Question for those who already have kids

I think we go through about 10 a day. Well let's see... when we left the hospital they gave us a 20 pack of Pampers swaddlers... and we had that 90 (I think there were 90 in there) count box from BRU... 18 days later, I have 13 diapers left (but keep in mind the first night we changed at least 4 diapers that were dry - LOL).

Re: Question for those who already have kids

i would probably say 8-10. I wouldn't get too many Newborn diapers becasue they grow out of them Really quick. My son was only in them for a few weeks and my nephew was only in them for 5 days. She had SOOO many left over. Thank goodness i was pregnant again :)
