Question for those who were measuring ahead
At my first sono, I was measuring a week behind. I thought I ovulated 1 week late so that made sense. The doctor changed my due date to December 25th after that appointment. At my sono today, I'm measuring about a week ahead at 13 weeks, 4 days. My EDD is still the same though. The doctor only changes it if the baby measures 10+ days ahead.
How many weeks should I consider myself to be? I assume since my EDD is still the same, I'm closer to 12.5 weeks than 13.5 weeks. If you measured ahead, but your EDD remained the same, how did you calculate how far along you were? TIA.

Re: Question for those who were measuring ahead
Go by your EDD, the baby will grow faster/slower at different points in the pregnancy. I think it happens to a lot of babies, they are up one week, and down or at the edd the next week.

Yep, exactly. My measures a week/+ ahead at every appt, but my doc says that the first sono is most accurate and to stick with that date

Re: Question for those who were measuring ahead
at my first sonogram, the baby was measuring 3 days ahead and yesterday we went again for an ultrasound and the baby was measuring 4 days ahead...but they haven't changed my due date.

Re: Question for those who were measuring ahead
in the end, the EDD means virtually nothing... the baby will come when it's ready...
my good friend just gave birth to a perfectly healthy boy... at 36 weeks!

I was told the same thing just yesterday...I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead with the measurement the doc takes and one week ahead according to my sono yesterday. They are sticking with the original date though and going by the first sono.
