Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
I was just wondering if anybody did the deed before their 6 week pp check up. I haven't, but I know a few people who have, and I wanted to know if this was common. I think DH is curious too, as my appointment was pushed back a week! (poor guy!)

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
I tore pretty badly as well as had an episiotomy so I wanted nothing to do with that until I got my Dr's ok!
Oh and I purposely pushed my 6wk pp appt into the 7th wk just to buy more time

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
My 6 wk ck was actually at 3 wks. Dr gave me the physical go ahead, but said I may want to wait until I am feeling more up to it. I think we waited 1 more week and did the deed. I was more scared about getting PG!

No and I had a c-section. I usually listen to the dr. I don't see the need to rush unless you both are "desperate".

No- we tried 2x so far and it killed. and I had a c section.....and we lubed up.
Actually this is kind of funny. I told DH that felt like he was shoving a knife up there.
Then he said, you mean a samarai sword? Or a pocket knife?

No....My Dr said it might cause an infection and well the thought of it maybe causing that and having to wait longer , made me heed the warning.

Not to hijack the OPs post but if you had a c-section did it hurt the first time after you gave birth. I want to...we have 2 more weeks until our check up but I'm scared it's going to hurt.

Honestly NO, not at all. But I have to say I felt great after my c-sec, much better then going reg with the first two.

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
I had a c-section and had a terrible reaction to the spinal. I was in the hospital for 10 days. By 2 1/2 weeks pp, I needed sex! DH was happy to help!

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
i had my son c-section and had my 6 wk today - doc said my uterus hasn't gone down fully but said we could resume, though it might be painful and to proceed w/caution
i wish i would've listened to him b/c i felt like i was a virgin all over again...not very fun at all
not to mention i'm terrified of getting preg right away...
i wish i had the foresight that one of the other posters had to push the appt back 1 wk...i'll know better for next time

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
I had 2 second degree tears and I wasn't thrilled about the idea of sex at 6 weeks. We tried but had to stop because it felt like I was tearing again. I think the first time where I just had to grin and bear it was 8 weeks PP and it did get a lot easier from there.

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
No, with my dd I had 4th degree tears and was too scared.
When my son was born I was really exhausted most of the time from taking care of the 2 of them, plus DH was going through a stressful time at work and wasn't home much when I was awake.

Re: Question that may be a little personal, and TMI
Had a C-section and between the way I felt and the fact that I was bleeding heavily, it just was not happening before 6 wks. It did hurt the first time--not terribly but it hurt.
