Questions for C Section moms

Tomorrow will be 2 wks since DS was born. Im still bleeding. Did you bleed this long?

Also, when did dr gice you the ok to:
-have sex again (not that im interested right now LOL)
-workout

C/S moms will bleed for just as long as moms who had a v-birth, the lining still has to "clean" itself out of the uterus no matter how the baby came out!

I bled for 6 weeks, which I think is normal, but it was light for the last 4 weeks.

ETA: i got the okay to resume "normal" activities at my 6 week checkup.

I bled for about 5 or 6 weeks but it was always very light.

I got the ok for "activities" at 4 weeks. I think around 6 or 8 he said I could start excerisizing.

I bled for about a month after the c-section. It'll start getting lighter soon and some days you won't bleed at all then suddenly there will be blood again.

Starting working out (really walking on the treadmill) around 5 - 6 weeks after and had sex about 5 weeks... which, BTW... wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I thought since nothing was touched down there it would go smooth, but I was wrong. Things were still a bit swollen.

I bled for about 4-5 weeks after the C-section. However, it was very light after the first week or 2. I was given the ok for sex after 6 weeks. Let me just say that it hurt-alot!

bleeding: 4-6 weeks after

the baby dance--supposed to be 6 weeks after but we didn't wait that long

working out? I'd ask your Dr, but don't push yourself too early

lasted about 4 weeks.. Got the ok to work out at 6 weeks.

I bled for 5.5 weeks. The last 2.5 were just spotting. My OB gave the green light for sex at 6 week appt (it was not pleasant at first )working out was okayed at 4 weeks.

I bled for 5.5 weeks. I got the ok for everything at my 6 week PP appointment. Just an FYI, BFing can make sex painful for a while. It has something to do with the hormones.

I'm 5 weeks post partum and still bleeding.

I was told as long as everything is on schedule and looks good, I will get the ok to resume activites at my 6 week checkup

bleeding stopped after 3.5weeks but I was all screwed up due to a PP hemorrhage. it was nice enough to start again at 6w6d thanks to AF

as far as any extracurricular activities 6 weeks is pretty standard.

although I dont know about working out, im not even sure what that is

I bled for almost 6 weeks. It was heavy for the first 2-3 weeks (I remember still bleeding on Valentine's Day and I had my DD on 1/24). It tapered off after that to spotting mostly...most days a pantyliner was enough.

I was ok'd at my 6 week visit for sex but waited until I got AF and was back on BCP at 8 weeks.

I never asked about working out

i bled for what felt like FOREVER! im pretty sure it was about 6-7 weeks (i gushed sorry way TMI for the first 4 of them and then it went to a light period type for a week then spotting for another 1-2 weeks) it completely stopped for about 1-2 days and the BAM i got my first period... and well.. lucky me it lasted a WHOLE MONTH! i beld from one period start to the 2nd period end. so in total i bled for about 12 weeks... one of the most awful things EVER!

in turn i ended up waiting till it all stopped to have sex because i was totally schkeved.

I bled for almost 6 weeks - but after a week or so it was mostly just annoying spotting like -though once in a while it would be more again.

*Bled 6 weeks with DD#1 and it lasted about 5 with this c/s

i bled for about 5 weeks, the last 3 were mostly just spotting. got the OK for exercise and BD at the 6 week appt although when the dr checked my incision at 2 weeks he did say if i felt up for it, we could BD before the 6 week mark.
