C Section Moms - questions from a friend.
Hi there -
One of my friends has placenta previa and she has to have a c-section. She would like to know if the following is normal.
- She is having the c-section at 37 weeks.
- She is having an amnio at 36 weeks to check the baby's lungs.
does this sound right?

Yes, sounds right to me.
My doctor said that full term is actually 37-40 weeks. So, even with the c-section at 37 weeks, she still carried to full term.

full term is 37 (but most drs don't schedule c/s earlier than w39)
the last thing needed to mature are the lungs, so checking them at w36 sounds right

yes sounds correct. if i was to get pregnant again, i would need an amnio at 36 weeks and csection at 37 weeks.
