Quiche Question
I have a recipe that says the cooked bacon and onions get scattered on the bottom of the pie crust and then you pour the egg mixture over that. Is this typical? I thought everything would be together so that the bacon doesn't just sit at the bottom of the pie.
Also- if I wanted to add broccoli to a quiche recipe (the one I am using just has bacon and onion)... how do I do that?
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Re: Quiche Question
Yes, that's typical. I think they would sink anyway since they're heavier than the egg mixture. They will rise when the egg cooks and be scattered throughout. I would just add the broccoli with the bacon/onions!

Quiche Question
I make DS egg muffins (scrambled eggs in a muffin tin and bake). About 1/2 way thru when the bottom sets, I add the extra stuff. I guess you could do the same thing with the quiche if you wanted.

Re: Quiche Question
Add the broccoli at the same time as the other ingredients and pour the egg mixture over everything.
