Quick Disney dining question...
If you don't have a reservation and show up at a non-busy time, what happens? Are you turned away or do you have to wait 2 hours to be seated?

Laura, if there's seating available you'll be seated and if not, they'll tell you when their next available reservation time is or if they're completely booked.

Re: Quick Disney dining question...
It depends on when you are going and how busy it is.
There are times that all or many of the restaurants put up signs that say No walks ups. Others they will accept walk ups IF they have room. Your best bet is to not go down there without some sort of ADRs you can always try to change them - but at least you have something. There is a desk where you can go - in EPCOT for example it is over by spaceship earth and there are phones you can either pick them up and try to make an ADR for that day or they have people there who can help. Busy times of the year you might not get anything.
Their system is set up where they put all their tables into their ADR system and don't leave any for walk ups. So the only way there are tables available is if they don't fill all the spots in their ADR system for that day OR someone cancels.
Personally I find it a pain that they don't hold some tables for walk ups because then you can be more flexible. But I have found the best plan is to make some sort of reservations so you aren't left with nothing - and then you can always try to change it down there. If you are not trying for a popular place you will probably be able to change it. I can tell you on our last trip we tried to change 2 nights meals around and could only get places we had absolutely no interest in.
