Quick ? for Ladies that were induced
I am 5 days past my due date and my doctor is going to induce me either tmrw night or Tues AM.
I know everyone is different, but I was just wondering how many of you ended up having a c-section or the induction worked.

Not me, but my sister was induced and although it took 12 hours, she did deliver vaginally.

i was induced 2 weeks early for medical reasons and was in labor 32 hrs b4 ds was born vaginally

i was after my doc "accidentally" broke my water and i wasnt dilating 24 hrs later the baby wasnt coming down so i had a csection

I was induced 2 weeks early with both kids. I delivered vaginally with both after 8 hours of labor.

i was induced at 9 days past my due date. they put in the cervadil at 10pm on thursday night, pitocin given at 11am friday morning, DD was born at 11:34pm friday night. delivered vaginally.

I was induced 6 days late - no cervidil, I was already almost 2 cm dilated and 50% effacted. Started on pitocin 6-ish in the morning, delivered DD vaginally at 8:34 pm.

i was induced..it worked. i was in labor 14 hours...and pushed for 2 of those. Dr. had to use a vaccumm to get DS out b/c of his head. but other than that..it was fine.
I was 3cm dilated when the induction started.

c-section - but it was Emma's fault...her head was crooked and she was blocking her own way down....she never ever would've come out. more than 12 hours after they gave me the cytotex (as opposed to cervidil) - they decided a c was the way to go.

I was induced at 38 weeks because of my BP. My water broke on its own in the hospital and DS was born vaginally 14 hours later.

With DS, 4cm dilated when the pitocin was started (1 week early) vaginal delivery about 4 hours later, and about a 1/2 hour of pushing.

5cm when I arrived to hospital, but I was not progressing. Was given pitocin and 13 hours later gave birth to DS vaginally.

2 Inductions = 2 Vaginal Deliveries
1st was 3 days before due date, 1cm dilated took 24 hrs including 3 & 1/2 hours of pushing and forceps assistance.
2nd was 1 week before due date, 1cm dilated took 29hrs including 3 hours of pushing and vacuum assistance.

induced at 37.5 weeks with zero dilation or effacement due to blood pressure and swelling. delivered DD vaginally exactly 12 hours later.

IMO, it depends on your doctor and you.
My doctor does not believe C-Sections are a good thing and advocates against them when case is normal. I was terrified of the idea, and told my doctor only in the absolute last resort, near-death, would I agree.
I gave birth almost 24 hours from time of induction, it was a very hard labor, but thankfully neither my baby nor me where in any danger. At some point they never let me take the oxygen mask off, but that's the extent of "danger" that I felt. You can read my birth story for details.

Mine worked. But, we did some different things after the pit caused some very minor heart issues (liam) with Liam. It was 54 hours from start to finish with about 7 hours of hard labor.
Check out my birth story. It is really interesting.. or at least I think so!

I delivered DD vaginally 5.5 hours after they started the pitocin and broke my water. I pushed for about 40 minutes.
ETA: I was induced due to my GD at 39 weeks. I had no dialation or effacement when I was admitted to the hospital
