Quick question--has anyone ever cooked with dry beans?
I have dry beans, sausage, and a liquid in the slow cooker but the beans keep floating up to the top. Will they get cooked this way? Do they eventually sink to the bottom?

oh, the recipe did not call for that. It just said 1 lb dry navy beans rinsed. Said nothing about soaking and boiling.
The recipe says to keep in slow cooker for 6 hours until beans are tender.
