Just wait until they start drafting our children to send there.
Just as long as we don't have Trump in office, you know, it should be all fine.
What makes you think there is going to be a draft? Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014...was there a draft? Was there a draft for the Gulf War?
Where did I say there would be?
Don't act so insipid. You are throwing your hat into the fearmongering ring.

Quiet today with Turmoil happening in this World
There will be no need for a draft because this is not a war the US should be involved with. The Ukraine is not part of NATO and it should not be a NATO issue either. The US needs to start worrying about what's happening at home instead of sticking it's nose in everyone else's business.

I never said there would be a draft. If you don't find Putin's comments to be something of concern, then I can't help you. Looks like there will be another briefing soon. Wonder if they will get the same questions as earlier and if they will answer them in the same way.

You implied a a threat of a draft when you quote Chiliswife and then further implied that all the Biden voters are fine with that since it's not Trump.
Where did I imply that I didn't think that Putin and Russia's aggression are not concerning to me. I just pointed out that the US is not at war with Russia and it's a NATO issue at best.
Additionally, I have a much better understanding of foreign policy, globalization and economics as evidenced by your answers of . or or a when you quote someone else that could put into words what you can not. So no, you can't help me.
ETA: I do, however, need some help with proof reading.

It is horrible.
I think it's quiet though as a lot of kids are off this week and people are traveling or trying to balance working and entertaining lol.
130 views right now, that’s why I mentioned it. All the people who were so gung-ho for Biden are pretty quiet.
Should he call Putin's a genius? Or call the move savvy? Or state that the US should take the same tack on the southern board and invade Mexico?
What do you think that Biden or NATO should do differently? Or could have done differrently? Do you think this that has happened with Russia, happened over the last 13 months?
Do you feel the sanctions were enough? Wait a month?
Why don't you answer my questions instead of deflecting by asking a question.
If you are speaking about Trump, I.DONT.CARE at this moment when this was very wishy washy, just like normal with this administration.
I think the sanctions should be done NOW, not say in a month as these poor Ukranians don't have a month.
When you post this....All the people who were so gung-ho for Biden are pretty quiet. you are making the implication that Trump would have done a better job with the situation as he was the only alternative to Biden in 2020.
The US is not working independently so there has to be some consensus with the EU and NATO along with the US.
Additionally, some sanctions took place immediately. Some sanctions took place in 2021 amd earlier.
What sanctions are you referring to? Are they being used for bargaining to try to draw Putin back to the table for negotiations.
I do think that if Trump had won the office in 2020, we would not be seeing this play out in 2022 but that is only because Trump is a pawn and Putin uses him like a puppet so it would have been a delayed invasion in 2025 or 2026.

Possibly. Waiting for another admin that he can push around. He is just able to do it earlier.

Well we will just have to wait this out and hopefully it won't get bad and the people of Ukraine will be spared as of right now, it is not looking good. Not just Ukraine too. Everyone should be concerned.

Re: Quiet today with Turmoil happening in this World
For the sake of not quoting...Trump was on his knees for Putin. There would be no reason for Putin to worry about Ukraine's sovereignty and addition to NATO because Trump did what Putin wanted. It's not because this administration is weak. it's because Putin can't control this Administration such as he did with Trump's. You think Biden would have put Manafort in the same position that Trump did? Or that Hillary would have put Manafort in the same position?

Lol this cracks me up. If Trump WASN’T elected this would have played out years ago. Putin resisted BECAUSE Trump is/was so unpredictable. He’s not my favorite person but it’s not a bad quality to have when negotiating foreign policy. This was most likely inevitable but Biden’s catatonic state didn’t make Putin miss a wink of sleep.

Exactly. This administrations WEAK ASF leadership absolutely made it easier for Putin. Hate Trump all you want but his policies and administration were 1000x more capable then what we have now. Stop deluding yourself and trying to twist yourselves into pretzels to believe otherwise.
I say hold on folks because the next 3 years are going to be a very bumpy ride. We are only 1 year in and we have record high inflation which BTW negatively affects mostly the middle and lower class, disastrous foreign interventions (Afghanistan...now Russia/Ukraine), open borders during a pandemic and a President and VP who can hardly string together a coherent sentence much less be respected or feared for their "leadership". The mean tweets however are gone so Yay!.

Or It could’ve been Trump!s attempt to dismantle NATO which would’ve been a lot easier and cheaper for Putin and more successful than his attempts in 2014. You ever question Paul Manafort‘s role in Trump’s administration? Maybe that’s another reason why Putin didn’t have to invade Ukraine why Trump was visiting president.

Nope. Trump was never a pawn-I don’t think his ego would allow him to be one. Putin just knew he had to bide his time.

The mean tweets however are gone so Yay!. Our southern borders are not open. In fact Biden has kept trumps policies at the southern border. Afghanistan was Trump and his peace treaty with the Taliban and then letting 5000 prisoners in Pakistan go. Trump just praise Putin on his invasion of Ukraine and you think he had strong foreign-policy with Putin? I have my own theories on inflation because we have corporate profits breaking records while they increase prices and claim it’s inflation. If they’re experience that much of a constriction with pricing their margins would contract not expand. And I think Biden‘s administration is failing in addressing that with the lack of antitrust policy and price manipulation. I don’t think the Biden ministration is doing a stellar job but they’re doing a hell of a lot better than Trump did and would have ever done

Watching people who CLEARLY have no understanding of what's happening in Ukraine ramble on about Ukraine is so entertaining.
Thanks for your intelligent replies CookiePuss, it's refreshing.
