Quinoa? Safe for gestational diabetes?
I failed my 1 hour and going for my 3 hour tomorrow. Ive been monitoring blood sugars in the meantime and I am slightly concerned I have GD.
Is quinoa a good choice for GD?

It's a non-wheat carbohydrate, but it still increases blood sugar.
I had carbs the night before my 1 hour, and I don't think what you eat at this point will effect whether or not you have GD.

Quinoa is considered a low glycemic index food (it glycemic index ranges from 35-53 depending on preparation) so it will not cause a spike in blood sugar.
