Just wondering if I'm in the majority or minority on belly touching. Aside from DH (of course) and "my" family (not IL's) and some close friends... I am sooo not into people touching my belly! 
The night we told IL's, FIL reaches over and says I want to feel the kid. I scooched over and said, uh, I'm 9 weeks, it's all me at this point!
I'd better brush up on my karate chop!

I voted for 'not sure' cause I'm 18 weeks and not yet to the point where people are going to randomly come up to me and start touching my belly. So I haven't experienced it.
I don't think it would really bother me as long as it was always a woman that's doing it. I'm a pretty outgoing, touchy-feely type person myself (though I would never just go up and touch a preggers belly  ). I guess we shall see...

I hate having people touch my arm or my back as they pass me, I can't imagine having people (Family OR strangers) coming up to me & touching my belly. I can be a b!tch anyway, maybe I'll just turn it up a notch when the time comes.

I am SOOOOOO not a fan of belly touching!!!! I think its b/c my sister during both her pregnancies practically had her belly hanging out all the time- no matter who we were with, she'd lift up her maternity shirt and tell everyone to feel her belly....which can make other people feel uncomfortable too (not EVERYONE wants to touch preggo bellies). I do not want anyone touching me, and I would hope if someone wants to touch my belly they will at least ask so I have the option of saying no!! DH, my sister and close friends are pretty much the only exceptions, although I know the MIL will come around with her palm coming at me sooner or later.

depends on who....
when you are small- then no reason to touch-
when you have a BIG belly if they keep their hands in the middle - not too low or high then i dont see a problem with it.....
not strangers- but family, friends, coworkers- people i know

My issue with it is my belly is convienantly located between my boobs and vag and I always feel like people are aiming for one of the two when they are touching my belly. Makes me uncomfortable.
I don't mind if it's quick pat or feel, but I don't like being petted.

I never thought I would say this especially since I am guilty of doing it to others before I was pregnant.. but I really do not like it at all.. And I will never ever do it to anyone else again..

on immediate family knows but i get uncomforabtle when i get touched. again its only when certain people touch me.

I like contact with other humans, so it doesn't bother me at all. I like that people make an effort to connect...that doesn't mean that I want any old person in the street to touch me, but if its someone I know, touch away, give me a hug while you are at it. I don't mind humans touching me!

I am weird....
I HATE people touching me when I am not preggo....but so far it hasn' bothered me when someone touched my belly. Just as long as it's not strangers!!

I admit it. I am an anti toucher(with the exception of close friends and family). I never understand what they think is going to happen. Do they think the baby is going to feel their hand and pat back. It just makes me uncomfortable.

I'm not sure.
A couple weeks ago my mom rubbed my belly and I felt weird and kinda pushed her hand away...but there's obviously nothing there yet because the baby is the size of a sesame seed.
I think when I get bigger and the baby starts moving around, I will let people feel her kicking and stuff...
We shall see!

If close friends ask, I usually let them touch me.
I was pretty small in the beginning so if I saw people's hands coming towards me I usually took a step backwards and put my own hands on my stomach and said, there really isn't much to see and that usually stopped people.
It hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be.

i do not think i would mind. people are just super excited - the touching represents love, happiness, hope and prayers in my book but i would never touch anyone else's belly unless i really knew them like best friend and sister-in-law. i wouldn't mind anyone touching mine as long as i knew them - even if not that close to me- if i knew who they were - and they were that excited to touch my belly go for it but a total stranger in the store i'd be uncomfortable. i don't think that happens much but i am sure it has.

I do not want anyone but DH touching my belly. At new years I had my mom, dad aunt and mother in law all touch my belly and talking to it and I got so mad and I was only about 8 weeks then and there was no belly! I don't like to be touched and everyone better watch out or they will see my crazy side lol
Maybe once in a while when I get a belly and the baby kicks ill have family members feel the baby move but that's it. JMO I find it to be weird.

BUT....
people think they can touch my arms cuz i have tattoos and when i had red hair they thought that was ok to touch.
so i already know i am VERY ANTI TOUCHING!
