Rapid weight loss after delivery!
On Monday I weighted myself at my dr. office (10 days from the delivery) and found out I lost 26 Lbs. That made me 5 Lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight.
I don't have much of an appetite but have forced myself to eat. I was just wondering if that happened to BTDT moms and if it affected your BF/milk supply.
DS gained 10.5 ounces in 1 week at his 2 weeks check up also.

My weight loss was slower with my first pregnancy. Weight loss was much quicker with my second.
While the weight loss itself didn't affect my milk supply, I did have to force myself to find the time to eat & drink so I would produce enough.

I lost my prenancy weight and then some by the time I left the hospital and I had a great supply

Lucky you! I gained 44 lbs in pregnancy and lost 25 the first week but nothing since then

I am hungry all the time, and eat plenty.
I gained 16 lbs. while pregnant.
I've lost 21 so far.
Last week I had one day where it seemed I didn't have enough milk for DD. Then I started drinking a beer a night...

This happened to my boss anfd it turned out she had a thyroid problem. If you keep losing, I would go to yout doctor just to get checked out though. That'a great news though...I can only wish the same will happen to me!

I was down 30 lbs by 3 weeks. I lost about 17 lbs in a matter or 2 days. ( I had a c section so I know it was a LOT of fluid...)
I only gained about 20 lbs in my PG , so Im down an extra 10 and liek you , it was very hard or is very hard to find the time to eat.
Im forcing myself to eat right now and have been up half the day already.
But Im not BF ing.

Yes, I lost 25lbs right away. I couldnt eat, I had to force myself and my milk supply was very low. I tried to BF for weeks even tried pumping but nothing worked.  I had to start DS on formula. Fortunately, DS never lost weight.

About 1.5 weeks after I had DS I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight. I also had very little appetite (still 8 weeks later I have to force myself to eat). I have had no trouble with my supply.

Rapid weight loss here as well and even though I didn't breastfeed, those puppies were full and drippy for a long time, they still leak a drop or 2 here and there 5.5 weeks later! I think most new moms have a hard time finding time to eat, mainly b/c when we realize we have time to ourselves, we decide to do something for someone else instead of ourselves. (Same for showering/getting dressed) There could be a link to milk supply, but I always heard the supply is based on demand (so the more you nurse, the more you make).

The rapid weight loss happened to me as well. 5 days after delivery, I was down 20 lbs. I go to the doctor on Tuesday so we'll see what happens then. My doctor said I was retaining a LOT of water so she's not concerned.

It has been 9 days since i have given birth and i lost like 19 lbs so far, i am hoping that it doesn't stop, but i am BFing so hopefully it will continue LOL. my stomach has gone down so much though, I am so happy as I had a flat stomach pre-pregnancy. i have a feeling i will have to end up tightening it though b/c i def have a bulge. I am having such a hard time with clothes b/c my maternity stuff is to big and my pre-pregnancy stuff is too small still, i am living in yoga pants and PJ's LOL

I lost all my baby weight within the first 6 weeks after delivery (25 lbs).. but I still felt gross and just blubby...Finally a year and a half later, my body has snapped back to what it looked like pre-pregnancy.. and mostly without exercise...I do exercise, but not that much and yet I am fitting into my old summer clothes from the summer before I was PG.
My MIL told me that that also happened to her.. it took her body like a year to return to the way it was.. on its own. It's no joke what our bodies go thru...

Thats great to hear!!!
When you think about it, that's largely why we are told to wait another year before having another baby...so our bodies can readjust. I know lots of women like/prefer to keep close together, but MOST drs. will suggest otherwise more for overall healing reasons for your body.

I lost 20 pounds in about the 1st week home from the hospital. I still have about 10 to go, but not too worried about it. BF has done WONDERS for the weight loss. Love that easy calorie burner!
