Really gross question re: internals/mucus plug - def TMI!
On Monday after they realized the baby was no longer breech and head down my midwife did an internal to find out if I was dialted enough to get things going (which I wasn't).
Anyway, yesterday I bled a bit of red blood and then later on DH and I to get things going a bit and I had brown nastiness come out that look like small bits of brown clots shedding but it hasn't been mucousy.
We again today and there is more of it again.
Question is could any of this possibly be my mucus plug or is this just the result of yesterdays internal and two days of DTD?

if its brown I would guess it was old blood?
my mucus plug was definitely mucusy and had some red blood in it.

See here is why it is really gross. I can't tell if it is mucousy or just something else
You think it's just old blood from the cervix?

Here's a tip:
CM (and that from the plug) will remain intact and float around in water. "Remnants" will dissolve.
HTH....
