REALLY Last Minute Vacation Help Needed
So, I've been planning our vacation for next week for a few weeks now and had a whole itinerary for Montreal, Toronto, and Niagara. When DH saw that it could close clearly $2k-$3k especially with all of the taxes there, he no longer wants to go, or we can go just for like 3-4 days and that's it.
He has no problem just staying at home on his computer playing his video games, but I'm always home in the summer (teacher) and want to go on a vacation as home is not a vacation for me!
Any affordable alternatives with such short notice and hopefully for the whole week???

What about changing your plans to stay outside the city (for Toronto and Montreal).
When we went to Toronto in June, to stay in 'the city' it was 3x the amount of money than to stay in the burbs. We stayed out in the burbs and took a 15 minute train ride into the city and saved hundreds of dollars.

Do you remember the location you stayed at?? I've been looking but just don't know what areas are safe or not...any info would be great!
