Recommenations needed for a pair of designer jeans/w stretch (not low rise though)

Ladies, I have been looking to buy a nice pair of designer jeans but I am very limited.

Low rise styles (nor high rise styles) really don't work best with my body type.

I need jeans that go an inch or two below the belly button. You know, higher than low rise but lower than high rise if that makes sense.

If you have any recommedations, also tell me where I can go to buy them and try them on. I would need to try them on. I have a really hard time with jeans fitting comfortably. I do want to be comfortable so stretchy is preferable to me too.

Thanks

I hate low rise jeans too..I like big star, Joe's and Citizens.
I usually buy my jeans at national jean company or Bloomies.
You just have to try on all different pairs and see what looks best!

So where does the waist sit on big star, Joe's and Citizens?

I have bought jeans at National Jean Co. I don't have any at the present time from them and haven't been there in a while.

You can also try zafu.com

You can specify what you are looking for and it will give you different options of jeans that fit your needs.

Thank you!!! That is awesome. It recommended for me Joe's, COH, David Khan, and AG.

I have had AG's in the past (jeans and denim skirts). I should look into them again.

Thanks, Keeps the recs coming!

You can try Joe's on in the shops - I generally get mine at Century or at Marshalls. I also scored a pair at Anthropologie for just $39.99!!

They also have a large selection at Saks. That is where I went when I was trying them on for the first time to get an idea of the different fits.

Well I don't look good in high waisted. I look best in right below the belly button about an inch or two. Def not at the waist if that is what you mean,

And I hate when jeans stretch out. Too many do, and they become so baggy after sitting.

At least I have some good leads, thanks ladies

I too recommend Joes Jeans. I also really like and own quite a few pairs of Elie Tahari and love them all. You can try both in Bloomingdales.

Nice jeans but do you have to be in retail to buy from them?

And they seem low rise to me, which is not what I personally am looking for.

Nice though.

I find certain styles of Citizens to be not so low waisted

really? I have to check them out. Where are they sold?I have been seriously searching hard the last two days for higher rise (but not high rise, just higher than most jeans nowadays).

And I found that Paige Premium denim sells jeans with 8-9 inch rises. I am now looking for jeans that have an 8.25 to a 9 inch rise.
