Recommend a color for the wall and what kind of window treatments?
Id like to keep the kitchen light and bright but not white walls. Id like some sort of light color.

gorgeous kitchen!!!! will you be adding a backsplash or painting that area?
i would go with a yellowish/green color! it will keep it bright and cheery!
eta: maybe a valence with a striped fabric for the window.
just did a quick search..

If you want to keep it light and bright I would go with a creamy yellow, ivory or light tan. Bring in some soft colored accents with a throw rug, kitchen towels, window treatments and artwork on the dining area wall.

I think a very pale blue would look good, too.

I have 7 rooms to paint!
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the living room and kitchen.
Id love for them to flow if possible somehow. The kitchen is open to the living room, so... The living room is a blank palate, just hard wood floors.
One bathroom I think really HAS to be tan. I love greys greens blues, gold and tans.

I think a grayish-taupey color would look nice and blend nicely with the floors. You can go one color lighter or darker on the same paint chip for your living room so it flows.
