I'm in need of a new set so I'd love some recs. I was thinking of nonstick but have been reading some not so great things about them. Help!

calphalon..had it since being married and it's terrific..also, if you ever have an issue, you send it to them and they replace it..it cooks so nicely, too!

Calphalon. I love my cookware and haven't experienced any problems, plus cleaning is a breeze.

I have 2 pieces from Le Creuset that I use to cook pretty much every single meal- the dutch oven and a more shallow version for veggies, stir fry, eggs, grilled cheese, pretty much anything on the stove top.

Honestly, if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg, I just got a ten piece Rachael Ray cookware set from QVC and I am loving it so far. The pasta pot and saute pan are oval, so spaghetti can lay flat. It was $170.

I have a cuisinart stainless steel set that I love and believe it or not a stainless steel set from ikea also. Either way I prefer stainless steel over the nonstick

I have an All Clad set and a Le Creuset set. I never use the All Clad. Le Creuset is the way to go.

i haven't bought these, but i was at an outlet store for this line called procook and the pans looked really great - nice heavy bottoms, good quality. i am planning to look them up to see if they get good reviews, but the pricing on them seemed great (at least at the outlet)

I have both Le Creuset and Staub. Staub, in my opinion, is much better than Le Creuset.

There is a post like this on the food board and alot of people love their Farberware classic set. I am going to start replacing my non-stick pieces one by one.

Re: Recommend your fave cookware
I love my All Clad but it is pricy. I have a large sauce pot I got aat Macy's - it's from the Belgique collection and I love that too - same heavy layered bottom and it's a lot better price - great sale on a set right now too.

I love my calphalon tri-ply stainless set. I also have a large all clad saute pan. Love both and use them all the time.

Re: Recommend your fave cookware
Thanks everyone! I do have a Lecrueset dutch oven that I LOVE but when I looked up the sets it was very expensive. Maybe I'll just start adding pieces slowly rather than go in for a whole set at once. For those that love it, which one of their pans do you use most?

I have this 4 piece set-which is a small saucier, a grill pan, a large skillet and the dutch oven. I use the saucier and the skillet most. I also have their stock pot and its awesome (and not cast iron, so it was much more inexpensive). The large skillet is so useful, and big enough for almost every job, and the saucier is great for making sauces, but also good for boiling small amounts of pasta/rice, heating soup, all sorts of smaller jobs.
I think that they heat really evenly, and brown things better than any pot I have used. My DH had a set of Analon stainless pans, and the Les Cruesets blow them away in the browning dept. Image Attachment(s):
