Red spotting

I am about 6 weeks pregnant and just saw red spotting after I wiped (sorry TMI). I don't have any cramping and I am taking progesterone suppositories so I am just hoping that it is irritation of the cervix.

Do you think this is okay? Chat Icon

Re: Red spotting

You will get many responses on here about this but I have to be honest......go to the ER. M/C mentioned below......

I had 1 VERY small episode of red spotting, after wiping, with no cramping or anything with Skittle at 10w2d. I called the doc and they said to go to the ER. I wasn't worried because I was taking progesterone supps and knew it was a side effect. I had a missed m/c. Even after seeing the hb 3times.
EVERY SINGLE time since then, now with Peanut, any kind of spotting I have called and they have been WONDERFUL about understanding my concerns, and getting me in. You need to have piece of mind. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but my story didn't have a happy ending like so many others. I wish you the best! Chat Icon

What can they do if you are spotting at the ER? Is this for peace of mind? If it is to be a m/c, there is nothing you can do, right?

Usually they will do a sono to see what is going on.

I had spotting at 5w5d with my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they did a sono. Luckily we saw the heartbeat and everything turned out fine.

Re: Red spotting

Spotting early on is fairly common. I would call your doc and try not to freak out (I know. mush easier said than done!!) Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
