Re: Parents with two little girls walking house to house in the village of Lindenhurst

FYI - there was a walk sponsored by the EJ Foundation for Autism REAL AID walk that started around Islip on Saturday morning and ended in Montauk Sunday night. People were asked to only walk a certain portion of the route. They may have been fundraising for that event.
If anyone happened to see the signs that said "honk if you love someone with autism", that was the Real Aid walk. Great organization and my son walked for it on Saturday afternoon. One of a few on LI that actually give back to the families on LI. The money doesn't go to research or into deep pockets. It goes to sponsor events and fun programs for children HERE.
Oh, and that event required a $30 registration fee per walker, there were no solicitation or donation forms, etc. like the Autism Speaks walks.
