Renting a room at a fire department
Does anyone know of any Fire Departments that will allow you to rent a room without being a firefighter? I'm in the Smithtown area.

I'm pretty sure the fire dept will let you because you do pay taxes that helpthem out. I know my fre dept does. I'm pretty sure the Nesconset Fire dept does also.

my brother and mother are part of our fire dept and they wont rent it out to anyone other then members of the fire dept and thats farmingville and i know holbrook is also like that.

I know way back when all my friends were having Sweet 16's, the thing to do was to have them at the firehouses. I don't know if they still do that or not. (rent out the rooms)

Some rent them and others don't. I'd just call the departments local to you and see. I know my DHs firehouse doesn't rent it out, but they're considering opening it up to the public. His old one does rent it out. Some don't rent it out because of the liability to them.
