Renting DVC Points
I am looking into renting DVC points for our next trip to Disney. Has anyone done this? What company did you use? Did anyone do it privately through the DVC owner? Thanks!!

Renting DVC Points
I am doing this for my trip next week. I rented through a guy named Bill Randle who works with a travel company to book everything. He is a sweetheart. His email is [email protected]. His points are less then the other companies I have looked into.
I am staying in the Polynesian for 6 nights and it was about $1800. Without renting it would have been $3000 for the Polynesian. The DVC rooms fit 5 adults and one baby.

Did you have to pay in full? Is it refundable?

i've heard David's DVC rental is a good company to to this through. And i think the main downside is that in most cases, you can't cancel. you have to pay it all upfront, and you are not able to cancel (unlike the regular disney bookings which only need $200 deposit until about a month before....) BUT you get a good deal on the DVC rooms, so it might be worth it...

It is non-refundable and I paid full price but if you need to split the payment Bill will work with you. I think David's now takes Paypal and will let you do a payment plan.

That's a deal! I just paid $5K to stay at the Polynesian!

Re: Renting DVC Points
We always do this when we go. It's soooooo much cheaper and if you're ok with skipping daily housekeeping (they only come on the 4th (?) day of your stay), it's absolutely worth it. Our last trip we paid 1/3 of what we would have if we booked with Disney b
We use the DVC Store. I like that, unlike dave's, you don't have to pay $90 for them to check availability. With dave's you pay the $90 for them to look for a reservation and it's non refundable. So if you don't book, you lose it. DVC Store doesn't do that.
Feel free to DM me any questions!

I have used DVC Rental Store, and Ebay. David's charges to even give a quote, and that turned me off.

David's 100% returns that fee if they don't find your reservation. If they find the reservation, they take the fee off the balance.

Right. But if you're not 100% sure that you want that specific hotel or dates, etc, then you're out the money. That turned me off. DVC REntal Store has checked a bunch of hotels and dates for me without charging me anything (even if they were available).
