Results of Biopsy ...can you chip in to help with my dog's surgery?
Can you help chip in for Casey's surgery. We contacted the rescue group we adopted Casey from and they agreed to help find us a vet to do the surgery and start a chip in for her so we can get her surgery. This donation will be tax deductible of anyone is looking for a tax break before the end of the year. Any amount will help us save Casey. The vet is afraid that the tumor could rupture at any time and told us she may have a couple of weeks.
i normally wouldn't ask total strangers fr a handout but I felt I needed to do everything possible for Casey. she has been with us through thick and thin.My husband and I had dreams of our daughter growing up with Casey. When people asked if we were worried about Casey and the baby we always said we're more worried about our cat. Casey would never hurt a fly.

Update as of last night from Dakota Love (rescue group)
Hello everybody, it's 10:30PM on day2 and i wanted to give you an update: we have 2 candidates vets who are highly recommended and rescue-friendly, we're waiting to talk to them both in the early AM and see who can see Casey first; Casey is priority bcz her condition is life-threatening, while Maximus is urgent but can be kept comfortable and be seen in a few days. i cannot express enough THANK YOU-S for the amazing generosity i see on the chipin: YOU ALL are the ones who are enabling me to make these calls to the vets, bcz we have enough for them to consider us. i am crossing my fingers all falls into place asap so we can help both dogs promptly..
we're already 1/2 way through the chipin goal, and this is fantastic. if you read this, please keep sharing, so we may reach our goal and get both dogs
please say a prayer for Casey, she is resting comfortably tonight, and we hope to have a solid green light tomorrow.

Another Update!
Dr. infernuso at the Shirley Veterinary Hospital agreed to do the surgery for 3k that includes surgery, 2 day hospital stay and labs tomorrow at noon. We are almost at our goal and I wanted to thank you all again for all your support.
Thank you all so much for your donations and love you have been sending to my family. 
Surgery Update
We ended up going to the pet doctor in Queens and Dr Benson did the surgery. If anyone is looking for a vet Dr. Benson is AMAZING and so is his staff!
Casey had blood work, a sonogram and when she was had a clean bill for the surgery she went into surgery. Dr. Benson took about 45 minutes to take her spleen out and the mass was the size of a tennis ball. If anyone wants to see pictures PM me I can send it to you.
Thank you so much for saving my dog's life with prays, words of encouragement and donations. You ladies are so awesome!!!!!
Hugs and kisses before surgery
Casey is doing really well. Dina from the Pet Doctor went out of her way to check on her at 2:30am! She is AMAZING!!!!!!!
Here is a picture of our girl and she will be coming home today!!! We find out what the mass is in about 2 weeks and I will update again! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!!
Biopsy Results:
So I spoke breifly with Dr. Benson and he told me that Casey's tumor is Malignant. He said that unfortunately there really nothing we can do, he said he can send us to an oncologist but with this type of cancer its not very responsive to treatment. if the cancer comes back she has 2-6 months. He's hoping she will be okay, when he took the tumor out he said he got clean lines. I asked what we should watch out for and he said the cancer will grow back inside and its hard to tell early. So we just have to wait and see and hope for the best.
Thank you so much for all your donations and money that was not used towards the surgery will be used for her aftercare treatment. If you could spare some prays please pray that it does not grow back and Casey will be able to live a LONG healthy life.

You are too kind, Casey actually saved my life. She is my sunshine. When my beloved buddy passed away and I could not bear go be at home alone we fostered her and she helped me cope with his passing. She is my shadow and knows when I need her. So she saved me. I'm so lucky to have met her and have her in my life.

Two suggestions regarding checks...1- you can probably send a check directly to the rescue notating that the donation is for her dog and 2- you may be able to set up an account with the vet...and people can send donations directly to the vet and it can go into your dogs account....
So glad goal is halfway met!

Update we ended up taking her to the pet doctor in queens. He did and ultrasound and confirmed the mass. They just took blood to make sure she is healthy enough for surgery. Will update when we have more info
