road rage

I accidentally cut someone off today. He was stopped, so I pulled around him...but I guess he started moving again. We were going like 5 mph.

OMG, he flipped out!!! He almost got out of his car. He hung out the window and cursed me out like I have never heard before. "F you, you little f-ing b i tch!!! You c unt! What the f ?! You f-ing whore!! NON STOP.

People around us were scared. I was scared he was going to kill me. Not to mention the fact that my little girls were in the car with me and heard it all.

Then he kept *almost* rear-ending me. He would speed up and screech his brakes right before hitting me. I had no cell phone so I couldn't call the cops. He followed me for a while too.

What is WRONG with people?

People are such as ses, I dont understand what they think that is going to accomplish. Big deal, someone cut you off, get over it!
Its bad enough but especially when you had your girls, how scary that must have been for you!

I had something similar happen to me when my kids were in the car but with an old man. Something in my kicked in, I was ready to rip him to shreds because he cut me off & then proceeded to scream at me.

If it was a younger guy, I'm not sure how I would have handled it. I think maybe pullling over just to let him go on his way?

Wow that is scary. Same thing happened to me and DH a couple of years ago. We were getting onto the parkway and it was a busy day and DH gunned it to get into a lane (now a driver coming up to a ramp is suppose to slow down) but this guy didn't and was ******. He honked his horn (we never came close to crashing), then got into the other lane and glared at us and then cut us off to get off the next ramp. He literally almost flipped his car over and had us swerve off the road. I was shaking when it was over. \

I get even angrier thinking about it since he had NO IDEA if we had kids in the car. How anyone can do that to another car with kids in there is so beyond comprehension to me.

People are so scary. I think the people who get angriest are the ones who have no control anywhere else in their lives and they need to take it out on someone else to feel important. Sick but true. Im sure he's a truly miserable person. Im glad you and the girls are OK. I'd say 99% of people with road rage think that nothing will happen as a result (getting in trouble, getting hurt, hurting someone) but you never know - as the person being raged against or the rager. So effing scary! And he probably has a tiny penis too.

I am glad u r okay. I had an incident with road rage 1 week ago. I was followed too, and the next day there was a nasty note on my car in my driveway. I am glad u r okay. I am still freaked out 1 week later. Feel free to FM mail me if you need to talk. People are crazy these days.

I was pulled over for road rage. I gave someone the finger who cut me off and it was seen by a cop. Technically I really did nothing wrong, but by virtue of the fact that I flipped the bird, I could have brought on a situation like you described. I do not live in the neighborhood or anywhere near where I work. It is a dangerous and crime ridden area - in the news for murders and robberies and thefts on a fairly regular basis. Once the officer (who was wearing his vest in plain sight) saw that my license didn tmatch the area, he let me go with a strict warning. He even said that I was cut off but my actions were potentially more dangerous than his.

Though your situation was accidental, you still have to bevery careful. People are loose cannons. You never know what is going to set them off. It is always best to drive defensively.
