Rock n play and sleep
Does anyone know if the fisher price rock and play is safe for newborns to sleep in overnight? My DD seems to not like the bassinet but seems to really like the RnP. I always read that they should sleep flat on their backs so I worry a little about letting her sleep in the RnP every night. Any info on this product? Thanks

Rock n play and sleep
My DS slept every night in the R&P from day 1 till he turned 6 months. I am ultra paranoid too, I think its fine.

Rock n play and sleep
I did not have the RnP but from the many posts on this board I would say they are fine to sleep in it overnight.
My DD didn't like laying flat in the bassinet so I would put her bouncy seat in the bassinet, swaddle her and then strap her in. She slept like that for 2 months.
I would do whatever works to get your child to sleep and stay asleep at that age.

Re: Rock n play and sleep
Yes. DD slept in it until 6 months old. The sides are mesh and breathable and it's on an incline which is great for reflux etc
ETA- they don't need to be FLAT- but they want them on their backs. An incline is actually good if they have reflux etc

Re: Rock n play and sleep
DD slept in that thing for the first 6-8 weeks of her life. It is approved for sleeping, so don't worry!
